Having sold Gencons on her Dogs Logic website for almost a year in 2010, Jo has decided to create her own online shop and offer more of her recommended products at competitive prices. Jo is very selective and will only sell items she’s tested or uses herself, truly believes are value for money and are not gimmicks.

About Jo

Dogs LogicJo qualified as a veterinary nurse with the College of Animal Welfare at the Royal Veterinary College in 1996. She went on to have 15 years veterinary practice experience, being the head nurse in 3 practices and studying for the Surgical Diploma giving an increased level of knowledge in all surgical conditions and diagnostic techniques. During her time in practice she ran a team of vets and nurses and was responsible for training student veterinary nurses in house. She ran many client clinics including behaviour, nutrition and geriatric and attended courses in all of the above plus dentistry and orthopaedic procedures. This included becoming involved in Canine Hydrotherapy in 1998.

Jo has a particular interest in surgery, rehabilitation and canine behaviour. She has continued to be actively involved in canine aqua-therapy and in 2010 headed the rehabilitation programs at the hydrotherapy centre she ran in Hertfordshire. She was also responsible for assessing the clinical ability of all new hydrotherapy centres prior to their membership for the Canine Hydrotherapy Association, and routinely assesses new hydrotherapy courses being written for the national framework.

Jo has been running a successful canine behaviour business ‘Dogs Logic’ (formerly Animal Nanny) since 2005 and receives regular veterinary referral and recommendations. She is currently adding to her behaviour knowledge with, Middlesex University Behaviour Degree Modules and also attends the Cambridge Institute of Dog Training and Behaviour workshop days. She couples her behaviour knowledge alongside the aqua-therapy program’s she sets in order to achieve the most effective rehabilitation treatment for her patients.

Jo is a Full Member of the Canine and Feline Behaviour Association and is a Master Trainer with the Guild of Dog Trainers.

In her ‘spare time’!! Jo keeps busy with her dog ‘Marley’ an extremely mischievous Goldendoodle and horse ‘George’ a thoroughbed X Irish Draft. If there is any energy left at the end of the day she partakes in triathlons for fun!
